6.6. QR code ticket scan

Using the QR code ticket scan method allows you to use the Quick Scan feature on the Event Check In Module app. You must be using a camera-enabled mobile device to use this check in method.

Attendees can present their QR code contained on their confirmation email or pre-event email for you to scan via the app. Once scanned, you will receive a confirmation message informing you of a successful check in.

Click the mobile device icon (shown below) and allow checkin.rubicrm.com to access your camera on your device.

Use the camera to scan the QR code on the attendees' confirmation email or pre-event email.

 

Before getting starting

You must ensure to include the Bookings - Booking QR Code as a merge field on booking confirmation emails or pre-event emails sent out from the system.

If using web integration, you must contact support@rubicrm.com or log a support request here if you wish to integrate the Booking QR Code functionality with booking confirmation emails sent from your web integration.

If you wish to send Booking QR Codes to existing bookings that were created before enabling the Event Check In Module feature, you must manually generate the QR Codes by going to the Events -> Bookings page and clicking the QR code icon () for each booking.

Make sure you have the column selected on your grid by going to COLUMNS and ticking the QRCodeIcon option.
